CV Help - (Writing a CV) Common CV error - number twenty two. Not spelling out the achievements

Writing a CV

Common CV error -  number twenty two.

There is no place for reticence when writing a successful CV.

It’s time to present your very best achievements in the best possible light. Spelling out your achievements really does mean a “this – means – that” approach.

In other words: bringing in a project completion 3 months ahead of forecast is impressive, but.... what did it mean to your employer?

When you describe this as: “completed major project 3 months ahead of forecast and saved £30,000 in contractor’s fees”, you have identified yourself as a skilled, motivated manager with an eye firmly on the bottom line.

What recruiter wouldn’t want to discuss your approach to business in more detail at an interview?
